cyclists", declared Chris Froome, after cycling the route in Fiesole.

Firenze 8 agosto 2013 - Tra i sicuri protagonisti del mondiale di Firenze ci sarà senza alcun dubbio Chris Froome, straordinario vincitore del Tour de France che nei giorni scorsi ha visitato la Toscana e soprattutto ha pedalato sul circuito iridato di Fiesole.

Queste le emozioni provate da Froome dopo il test: "Il percorso del campionato del mondo di quest'anno è caratterizzato da un bellissimo circuito che si presta a molti esiti possibili. Potrebbe essere adatto ad uno dei migliori scalatori, ad un finisseur o ad uno specialista delle fughe; è difficile immaginare quale scenario aspettarsi quel giorno. E 'una gara a cui mi piacerebbe arrivare con la mia migliore condizione e tentare così la fortuna".

Nella foto Chris Froome affronta la salita di via Salviati, l'impennata che dista solo cinque chilometri dall'arrivo di Firenze e che, insieme alla salita per Fiesole, caratterizza il circuito finale della gara in linea.
